Online Sales and Marketing Manager

The Online Sales and Marketing Manager is a new role within our Group Sales & Marketing organization. The role is focused on the SME market and generates prospective client leads for our sales and account management organizations by creating and delivering marketing campaigns.

Further the role builds and manages the client services team providing web care and telephone support and manages a significant revenue stream. The position requires to drive online capabilities, product innovation and development. The Online Sales and Marketing Manager will be based in Amsterdam and reports to the Group Director Sales and Marketing.

We’re looking for an innovative and entrepreneurial leader with experience in launching and growing online B2b products and services. Our ideal candidate is someone who is creative, diligent and passionate about making good things great.

Job responsibilities

Marketing

  • Manage all aspects of sales and marketing for the small and medium sized enterprises (SME) client segment – including digital and offline activity, internal, Social, PR, and Trade marketing.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of the online business capability targeted on the SME client segment, including web based quotation, transaction and payment functionality.
  • Assume control of online lead generation and CRM including developing and executing innovative acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Manage the launch and ongoing communication of new products initiatives, and key USP’s.
  • Analyse the competitive landscape and identify how market shifts will impact product and/or company market share.
  • Drive product innovation from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Work within marketing team to share insights, and maintain consistency around brand voice.

Client Services

  • Organize and run a commercial client services contact center focused on the SME client segment.
  • Manage the daily operation of the services center to meet revenue objectives.
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of professionals to ensure quality and productivity targets are met. Being overall responsible for the development of the client services professionals.
  • Change manage – handle periods of change and lead a team through such periods, displaying motivating and encouraging behaviors.
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings with team to maintain focus and motivation on client service standards and targets.
  • Liaise with other departments, including legal service fulfillment, and consultants to ensure effective communication and to resolve problems when required.

Profile

  • Experience in a similar role and a proven track record in taking end-to-end responsibility of marketing online B2B products, from idea generation to execution.
  • Preferably experience in professional services, legal services or insurance and ideally has an understanding of intellectual property services or more general legal services.
  • Experience in running effective e-CRM initiatives, including lead generation.
  • Ability to manage projects across multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker, able to balance long-term vision with short- and medium-term goals.
  • Passion for solving problems creatively, starting small, failing fast, and applying what you learn. Pragmatic.

KPIs

  • In the initial phase, Customer acquisition (number of customers) and customer engagement.
  • Following this phase, we’ll focus on Revenue per account, ROI per account, and Customer Acquisition Costs.
