At TANIQ we have developed a new technology to automate the design and manufacturing process of fiber reinforced rubber products using customized software and industrial robots. This technology offers many advantages such as high cost savings, better consistency and short lead times. It enables our customers to manufacture high margin products in Western Europe and the US,instead of moving to low?wage countries.
Most of our customers have been using the same production processes, largely based on manual labor, for the last 30?40 years. Therefore, introducing our new technology and convincing them to start a project with us requires strong sales skills and perseverance. In the last few years we have developed turn?key solutions for the design and manufacturing of pipeplugs, expansion joints and dredging/mining hoses. The next step is to sell these solutions to our customers in Europe and the USA, and to make our technology the new design and manufacturing standard for these markets.
Your sales objective: Sell Feasibility Projects to new customers
TANIQ offers turnkey solutions including product development and supply of robotic production equipment plus design software. To determine if our technology is technically and commercially feasible for our customers TANIQ offers a Feasibility Project. During such a Project prototypes are developed and tested, and an investment scenario is calculated. After this Project the customer has all the required information to decide on investment in robotic production equipment and design software. The first step to grow our business (sell more robots and software) is to get more customers into Feasibility Projects.

To sell new technology to customers in a traditional industry you will need to:
? have good communication skills (social)
? have strong sales skills (good listener, persistent, persuasive)
? have a technical background (Technical education or relevant work experience)
? be structured and reliable
? be fluent in English
? be willing to visit prospects in Europe or the USA one?two times per month.
Typical activities required to sell Sprint Projects
? Frequently contactexisting TANIQ contacts and build relationships with them
? Approach potential customers (cold calling)
? Determine customer needs and desires
? Give technical presentations to customers (mainly telephone conference calls) to explain the possibilities of the technology, and learn about their processes and its potential limitations
? Gather customer information for Return?on ?Investment calculations
? Set?up meetings with decision makers within company
? Make quotations for Sprint Projects
