Your new challenge as International Account manager:

Our client provides world-class products and services that enable the food, feed, and agricultural industries to navigate complex, ever-changing, global regulatory and market demands.

Beginning in 1996, our client set the milestones and industry standards that defined the guiding principles of a new field of scientific food testing, trusted third-party certification, and expedited regulatory compliance. Since then, no organization has gained more experience in import-export procedures, cooperation with government agencies, and the most rigorous DNA testing technologies.

The position is home office based and you report to the Chief Executive Officer. The sales effort is supported by the product management teams in Germany, as well as by the European back-office support with a customer service and technical support.

The international Account manager GMO testing services will have a key role in developing sales penetration in his/her area and in expanding our sales into the Company’s core business. Based on the experience and achievements, the responsibilities can be expanded.

to introduce a new generation instrument for GMO testing services;

to start up the direct sales business in Europe.

Functie eisen: 

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, food technology, food quality management and at least 4 year’s new business sales experience. In time you will be able to demonstrate high impact sales skills to achieve and increase sales growth. (Face to face as well on the phone). The position requires the ability to function independently as well as the ability to understand customer needs and maintain long-term and trusting  relationships with customers. You are able to manage your district in accordance with company policies, which include integrity and conducting business in an ethical manner as well as ensuring safety in all aspects of the job.

Strong verbal, written and presentation skills are necessary for success in this position as well as time and territory management and problem-solving abilities. It is an international position and you will be responsible for Western Europe, Scandinavia, and a part of Eastern Europe.

The head office is located in Germany. The position is home-based; where you live is not important as long as it is close to an airport. You will travel a least 30% of the time.

You have to be fluent in English, German and another foreign language.

You need to have a network in the food industry with a focus on food quality managers.


The base salary is between 50-60k, on top of which there is a target-related bonus.

There is also a travel allowance.
